Dry January? More like Try January! The New Year should come with a New You in your choices in 2025! Drinking does not have to stop once the clock hits midnight. There are multiple health benefits and options to wine that will have you sipping worry free. We have curated some healthy food pairings to help you navigate your wine journey in 2025!

Healthy Wine Pairings

Let yourself be carried by the enhancement of flavors as you pair your new home cooked, health-conscious meals with a glass of refreshing, bold wines! Here’s how to choose quality wines paired with health conscious meals.

Red Wine

Cabernet Sauvignon, like our Companion Wines Companion Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, pairs wonderfully with our easy 5 Ingredient Marinated Grilled Salmon, lentil stew, or roasted Brussels sprouts drizzled with balsamic glaze. For Pinot Noir, consider dishes like our Mushroom Risotto, quinoa-stuffed bell peppers, or our Chicken Under a Brick seasoned with herbs to pair with our Sea Sun Pinot Noir 2022. Merlot is a great match for grilled turkey burgers, beet salad topped with goat cheese, or our Grilled Eggplant Burgers with Halloumi Cheese. Either Emmolo Merlot 2021 or Quattro Theory Wines Merlot 2022 with their well balanced tannins and rich flavor.

White Wine

Chardonnay, such as our Companion Wines Yellow Star Chardonnay enhances the flavors of Chicken Under a Brick, roasted cauliflower, or steamed asparagus with a touch of lemon. Our Twomey Napa Valley - Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc 2019 is a refreshing choice alongside mixed greens with avocado and citrus vinaigrette, grilled shrimp, or zucchini noodles. Our Garlic Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto or Shrimp and Avocado Tostadas dishes would be a great fit! For Riesling, try it with spicy tofu stir-fry, Thai green curry, or our Ultimate Fruit, Cheese and Nut Salad.

Rosé

Rosé goes beautifully with a variety of healthy meals. DAOU Discovery Collection Rosé 2022 or M. Chapoutier Belleruche Côtes du Rhône Rosé 2022 would complement our Grilled Lemon-Cilantrio Chicken Veggie Skewers, seared tuna, or a light couscous salad with fresh herbs. For lighter fare, rosés also work well with a Nicoise Salad, roasted red pepper hummus with whole-grain crackers, or watermelon and feta salad. These options keep the pairings fresh, nutritious, and flavorful.

Sparkling Wine

Sparkling wine balances perfectly with light dishes. Try our Guy de Chassey Champagne Brut Millesime 2012 and Mathieu-Gandon Esprit Brut Champagne N.V. with sushi rolls, fresh oysters, or Shrimp Wontons. Other great options include a citrus salad with arugula and walnuts, mixed berry parfait made with Greek yogurt, or roasted almonds. The crisp acidity and effervescence of sparkling wine enhance the flavors of fresh, wholesome ingredients while keeping the meal refreshing and nutritious.

As we embrace a healthier, more mindful approach to wine in 2025, there's no need to compromise on taste or enjoyment! By choosing wines that pair beautifully with wholesome, nutrient-rich meals, you can stay true to your health-conscious resolutions without sacrificing flavor. Whether you’re savoring a glass of bold red with grilled vegetables or sipping a refreshing rosé alongside a light salad, the right wine can enhance both your culinary experience and your wellness journey. Embrace your wine adventure this year with our wine club! Cheers to a year of delicious, mindful sipping and healthy living!
