Ominous is 100% Alexander Valley fruit, but is jammy, full and dark like the more delicate climates, but with a naturally red fruit finish that hints at tobacco and pepper. The name was inspired by a Spanish monastery and the wine reminds one of dark Spanish fruit from Cataluña with soft tannins, lighter oak notes and a spicy finish.
